Eleonora Charans, PhD in Theory and History of Arts at the School of Advanced Studies in Venice (2012). In 2015-16 and in 2017 she received two research grants from the Università Iuav di Venezia to study the archives of the Sportsystem District in Montebelluna and to research the methodologies and techniques for the reconstruction and visualization of displays produced at the Venice Biennale. She has been teaching assistant of Contemporary Art at the Politecnico di Milano and is now covering the same position at the Università Iuav di Venezia (2011-16). Her recent publications include a book devoted to Gino De Dominicis’ design contribution to the 36th Venice Biennial in 1972 (Scalpendi) and several essays featured in journals including “Studies in the History of Gardens and Design Landscapes”, “Nuova Museologia”, “Ricerche di S/confine”, “Arabeschi – International Journal of Literature and Visual Studies, and “Venezia Arti”. Her main research topics are the history of exhibitions, archives and memory, history of collections, and neo-avant-garde.
